Citavi helps you collect, organise, and cite literature sources. In this training course, you will learn the basic functions of the programme and apply them directly using practical, subject-specific examples.

What you can expect:

  • Collect and manage literature and sources efficiently in Citavi.
  • Create and use citations (text & images) in a structured manner.
  • Work with the Citavi Word Add-In: select the appropriate citation style.
  • Insert outlines and citations.
  • Automatically create source references and bibliographies.

First, you will take a tour to familiarise yourself with the most important areas and services of the library. Afterwards, you will receive basic tips on how to search the library catalogue effectively – ideal for getting started with academic work.

Brief description:

Formulas, tables, graphics – traditional word processing programmes quickly reach their limits here. LaTeX has been offering a standard in the STEM field for many years. In this training course, we offer a practical introduction to the use of free software for creating elegant and efficient scientific content.

 

What you can expect:

  • Recommendations for free software
  • Basic structure of documents
  • Integrating sources (from Zotero, Citavi, Bibtex, etc.), citing, creating a bibliography
  • Creating formulas (fractions, integrals, roots, etc.) and equations in an attractive format
  • Automatic numbering and integration of elements (formulas, graphs, tables)
  • Creating a document that can be used as a template for later use
